CrissCross Stitch Pattern

Using Marshmallow Pink cotton Chic on 4mm needles, also this pattern is easy, however requires careful following of the rows. It’s perfect for baby blankets and throws.

Also, we used Marshmallow Flirt Pink Chic Cotton Yarn which is a smooth strong yarn also gives a very uniform effect and also because it does not pill. Because also the most inexperienced knitter can produce a smooth, straight finish with a beautiful cotton yarn with a beautiful finish.

 

Multiple of 15+1
Row 1: *P13, K2, rep from * to last 2 sts, P2.
Row 2: K2, *P2, K13, rep from *
Row 3: As 1st row.
Row 4: Purl
Row 5: P2, *K2, P1, (K1, P1) x 4, K2, P2, rep from * to end.
Row 6: K2, *P3, K1, (P1, K1) x 3, P3, K2, rep from * to end.
Repeat the last 2 rows x 4.
Row 15: P2, *K2, P13, rep from * to end.
Row 16: *K13, P2, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2
Row 17: As 15th row
Row 18: Purl
Repeat these 18 rows as required.

Also we used Sifa Silver cotton because of its firmness and also solid appearance. Needle size 4mm. Also this would be a great stitch to use for mens’ and boys’ sweaters.

 

Multiple of 16+1
Row 1: (K2, P2) x 2, K1, P2, K2, P2, *K3, P2, K1, P2, K2, P2, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2
Row 2: P1, *K2, P2, K2, P3, K2, P2, K2, P1, rep from * to end.
Row 3: K1, *P1, K2, P2, K5, P2, K2, P1, K1, rep from * to end.
Row 4: P3, K2, P2, K1, P1, K1, P2, K2, *P5, K2, P2, K1, P2, K2, rep from * to last 3 sts, P3

Also Repeat these 4 rows as required.

Because the natural simplicity of this pattern is deceiving because as it grows a beautiful lacy shape forms. We also used Chic Pure Cotton in natural undyed with 4.5mm needles for a chunkier feel. Because this pattern is very versatile it can be used anywhere, particularly cardigans and loose tunic sweaters.

Cast on an uneven no of stitches.
Row 1: *K2tog, yo, K1, yo, K2tog, K4, rep from * ending with k4, ktog, yo, k1, yo, k2tog
Row 2: Purl
Row 3 Knit
Row 4: Purl
Repeat 1st row.

Also continue with this simple yet effective textured pattern as required.
